Terms of use: the rules for using Normdale, in plain words

You can use Normdale's free tools and pages for your own money questions, with no sign-up. These terms are the few rules that come with that, one short section each.

Key points

These terms apply whenever you use normdale.com. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

Who we are

normdale.com is run by Diego Franco Media SAS ("Normdale", "we", "us"), Carrera 87 # 73-45, Bogotá, Colombia, 111111. Diego Franco is the founder and editor. Contact: hello@normdale.com.

Who can use Normdale

Normdale is made for adults. By using the site, you confirm that you're at least 18, or that you're using it with a parent or guardian. You must be 18 or older to buy a Normdale product.

What Normdale is, and what it isn't

Normdale is a website of free, plain-language money tools and short videos for adults in the US. It shows how the numbers work, with the method and the sources named.

Normdale isn't a financial advisor, lender, broker, credit counselor, tax preparer or law firm, and using the site doesn't create an advisory or client relationship with anyone. Normdale doesn't recommend lenders, credit cards or debt-relief services. What you do with your own money is your decision. Full details: Disclaimer.

Who owns the Normdale name, character and content

The Normdale name, the Normdale character, and the site's text, tools, images and videos belong to Diego Franco Media SAS, unless a page says otherwise. Data and documents we quote, such as Federal Reserve figures or CFPB rules, belong to their publishers and are credited where we use them.

No guarantee of results

Normdale shows what the math says for the numbers and assumptions given. It can't promise any result: not a payoff date you'll reach, an amount you'll save, or a change to your credit. Your results depend on things Normdale can't see or control, such as your card's terms, new charges, fees, rate changes and your payments.

Services we rely on

Normdale runs on services from other companies: Cloudflare (hosting, security and visit totals), Google and Microsoft (analytics, only if you accept), and YouTube, Instagram and TikTok (our videos). systeme.io handles the optional waiting list and its emails, and later systeme.io and PayPal will also handle checkout. We aren't responsible for their outages, policy changes or errors. When you use their services directly, their own terms apply.

We link to original sources, such as the Federal Reserve and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, so you can check our numbers. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Products and purchases

Nothing is for sale on Normdale yet. We plan to sell Normdale's own products, starting with Normdale's Debt Payoff Planner (a spreadsheet, not on sale yet). Before the first sale, this page will add the rest of the purchase terms: what you get, price and payment, delivery, how you may use the files, and taxes. The effective date at the top will change when they're added.

Refunds (the rule that applies from the first sale): if a product doesn't work as described, email us within 30 days explaining the issue and we'll fix it or refund you. We reply within 5 working days.

The free tools will keep working without a purchase or a sign-up.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, the site, its tools and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limits of our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Diego Franco Media SAS isn't responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, that come from using the site, its tools or its products, or from relying on them. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Diego Franco Media SAS for the product involved in the three months before the event that caused the claim. The free tools cost nothing, so no payment amount applies to them. Some places don't allow these limits; where that's the case, they apply only as far as the law allows.

Events outside our control

We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or internet outages, government actions, cyberattacks or failures of the services we rely on.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia. Disputes go to the competent courts of Bogotá, Colombia, unless applicable law requires otherwise; for example, the consumer-protection laws where you live may give you rights these terms can't take away. If something on Normdale causes you a problem, please write to hello@normdale.com first. Most things can be fixed by email.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update this page and its effective date before the change applies. The date at the top always shows the version in force. A purchase is covered by the terms in force on the day you bought.
